Scope

The General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG (new)) provide the legal framework for data protection.

Users are provided with information about the scope, nature, and purpose of the survey and the use of their data collected and used by the responsible provider.

Collecting general information

Every time the website is accessed, information is automatically collected by us or the web space provider. This information, also known as server log files, is general in nature and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you.

Included are, among other details: name of the website, file, date, amount of data, web browser and web browser version, operating system, the domain name of your internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (this is the page from which you accessed our website), and the IP address.

Without this data, it would often not be technically feasible to deliver and display the contents of the website. In this respect, the collection of such data is imperative. We also use the anonymous information for statistical surveys. They help us to optimize our offer and technology. We also reserve the right to subsequently check the log files in case of suspected illegal use of our offer.

Collection and processing of personal information

In order to be able to offer our services in a meaningful way, we store the full name of the person who contacts us for drawing up a definitive offer, their email address and, if applicable, the employer's name, if the requesting person is an employee of this company who acts in the company’s name. At the request of the person contacting us we also store phone numbers. This data is stored in our internal digital data processing system and is used exclusively for: sending specifically requested offers, contacting persons in case of queries about the offer or an order already placed, sending the completed service in digital form, sending the invoice for the provided service and any related payment reminders. We therefore store the following data:

  • First and last name
  • Gender
  • Address data
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • IP address
  • Other personal data that you provide yourself, e.g., when creating a user profile, in correspondence or by phone
  • Location data
  • Data on your activities on our website
  • Internet browser and device

Collection of special personal data

It is not our intention, through our website/service, to collect personal information from persons under the age of 16, unless they have the consent of their parent or guardian. We cannot control if a website visitor is under 16 years old. For this reason, we encourage parents to monitor their children's online activities to prevent data from being stored by children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected information from minors without consent, please send us an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We will delete the data immediately at your request.

Objective and purpose of collecting personal data

Micado Innovation stores data for the following reasons:

  • To process inquiries, orders, and payments
  • To send emails related to your request, order, or payment
  • To contact you by telephone or in writing for clarification of any queries required to complete your order
  • To create a user account
  • To provide you with services or products
  • To analyze the general behavior of users on the website so that the website can be optimized
  • To tailor offers to user needs
  • To prepare accounting-related data for tax and legal obligations

Automated decisions

Micado Innovation does not make any serious decisions (for individuals) based on the automated processing of information of any kind. This includes, for example, decisions made by computer programs or systems without any human being (for example, an employee) being involved.

Data economy and duration of storage of data

We do not store personal information longer than strictly necessary or required by law in accordance with the principles of data avoidance and data economy. If the purpose of the information collected is lost or the retention period ends, we block or delete the data.

Provision of paid services

For the provision of paid services, we may ask for additional information. For example, this applies to payment details.

Encryption during data transmission

To ensure the security of your data during transmission, we use encryption methods (SSL) over HTTPS that reflect the current state of the art.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Micado Innovation shares personal information with various third party vendors, if this is necessary for the preparation of the offer and/or performance of the order, or for the performance of any legal obligations. With companies (vendors) processing data in our name and on our behalf, we enter into detailed data-processing confidentiality agreements to ensure full compliance with data security and confidentiality.

Integration of services and contents of third parties

Our website may contain content or services of other providers. These include, for example, maps provided by Google Maps, or graphics and images. In order to access and display such data in the user's browser, we require the transmission of the IP address. The providers thus perceive the IP address of the respective user.

Although we endeavor to use only third-party vendors who use the IP address only to deliver content, we have no control over whether the IP address may be stored. This process may serve statistical purposes, among other things. If we are aware that the IP address is being stored, we will inform our users.

Facebook Pixel, Custom Audiences, and Facebook Conversion

Due to our legitimate interests in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our online offer and for these purposes, our website uses "Facebook Pixel" by the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or, if you are located in the EU, by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbor, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook").

Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement, which provides a guarantee to comply with European privacy legislation (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active).

With the help of Facebook Pixel, it is possible for Facebook to determine the visitors to our online offer as a target group for the display of advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use Facebook Pixel to display the Facebook ads we submit only to those Facebook users who have shown an interest in our online offer or who have certain characteristics (e.g., interest in certain topics or products determined by the websites visited by them), which we transmit to Facebook (so-called “custom audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to make sure that our Facebook ads are in line with the potential interest of the users and are not annoying. With the help of Facebook Pixel, we are also able to check the effectiveness of the Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes, by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called "conversion").

The processing of the data by Facebook is part of Facebook's data usage policy. Accordingly, general notes on the presentation of Facebook ads can be found in Facebook’s data usage policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy. For specific information and details about Facebook Pixel and how it works, visit the Facebook help section: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.

You may object to the capture by Facebook Pixel and use of your data to display Facebook ads. To select which types of ads you see within Facebook, you can go to the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions for the usage-based advertising settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads. The settings are platform-independent, i.e., they are adopted for all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.

You can object to the use of cookies for audience reach measurement and promotional purposes by visiting the deactivation page of the Network Advertising Initiative (http://optout.networkadvertising.org/), the US website (http://www.aboutads.info/choices), or the European website (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/).

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics. This is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there. Within Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, however, your IP address will be truncated by Google by activating IP anonymization on these websites. Only in rare exceptional cases, the full IP address is transmitted to a Google server in the US and shortened there.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address provided by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by changing your browser software settings accordingly. We point out, however, that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website in full.

Using Google AdWords

This website uses the online advertising program "Google AdWords" and as part of that the conversion tracking. In doing so, Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer if you have reached our website via a Google ad. These cookies are not for personal identification and become invalid after 30 days. If the user visits certain pages on our website and the cookie has not expired, we and Google will be able to identify that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies therefore cannot be tracked through the websites of AdWords customers.

The purpose of the information obtained through the conversion cookie is to generate conversion statistics for advertisers who have chosen to use conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a conversion tracking tag page. However, no information will be passed on that could personally identify users.

If you do not want to participate in the tracking process, you can easily disable the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via your internet browser under User Preferences. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. Please read the Google's privacy policy here: http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/
